- Lancaster Estate Winemaker's Cuvee Alexander Valley Sonoma 2016

94 Points Robert Parker
"The 2016 Winemaker's Cuvée is medium to deep garnet-purple in color and scented of cassis, blackberries and preserved plums with suggestions of cedar chest, wood smoke, dried herbs and tapenade plus a waft of charcoal. Full-bodied with tons of black fruit and wood-inspired flavors, it has a solid line of ripe tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long."

- Ron Rubin, Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley 2017

Bright cherry, cranberry, and raspberry aromas with hints of dill, fennel, and spice. The bouquet is rounded out with sweet vanilla and berry flavors, with a balanced and elegant finish. This very approachable wine offers mouth-filling, yet soft, tannins. Ripe fruit flavors are complemented by bright acidity and a gentle oak mid-palate.

This complex and fruit-driven Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with fig and goat cheese crostinis, roasted duck, and rotisserie chicken.

- Gregory Graham Chardonnay Lake County

The fruit was selected from older established blocks. Each block was separately hand-harvested, pressed in a basket press, and then fermented in one third each new barrels, one-year barrels and older barrels in a cold (50º F) storage area. After primary fermentation the wine was inoculated for a second, malolactic fermentation and aged on its lees for nearly nine months, with the yeast lees gently stirred bi-weekly.
